The lyric of the song "Mundo Enganador" its not just a fiction, but inspired by real events passed in my life from the 2016 Coup D'Etat in Brazil.
But far beyond my personal history, thousands of friendships and family ties were destroyed in that process. In fact, many say that the mask of a "tropical country, blessed by God and beautiful by nature" needed to fall to get to the surface what was hiding underneath, something not very pleasant to smell.
For this, it is enough to observe what has been changing in Brazil since the governments of Michel Temer and just over a year with the former military Captain Bolsonaro or popularly know as "Bozo".
Himself a disaster on many levels as we know.
However, simplifying or reducing the recent Brazilian political conjuncture, has never been my intention with this song.
The verses of Mundo Enganador are just a lament and a register that mixes history, pain and hope as some capoeira songs often manages to do.
I wish that soon we willbe able to reactivate those friendships which have been destroyed in recent years in Brazil.
